Put those together and you get 10 to 12 hours on skin, with the scent still detectable on clothing the next day. Spray it in the morning before a wedding and it will still be there when you get home.

How to Wear an Extrait

This matters more with extrait than with anything else. The concentration means a single spray carries what three sprays of an eau de toilette would. Two sprays is right for a wedding hall; four will clear a room.

Apply to pulse points — wrists, neck, behind the ears — on skin rather than clothing, since skin warmth is what lifts the notes. Don’t rub your wrists together; it crushes the opening.

Extrait also behaves differently at the start. It projects more softly in the first ten minutes than an EDP would, then grows on the skin. Don’t judge it from the first spray and don’t reapply because you think it’s faded — it hasn’t.

Best occasions: weddings, mehndi and barat functions, evening events, formal dinners, and winter generally. Too heavy for a hot Multan afternoon or a small office.
